Collaborative robots have increased the productivity of Elektro-Isola’s CNC work. A UR10e cobot from Universal Robots, a modular table from Technicon and a gripper from Robotiq have especially contributed to a faster process, as the employee now has to spend less time waiting and can spend more time on other value-creating tasks.
By increasing the automation in production, Elektro-Isola can now produce 480 items in 5 shifts, where previously it was only possible to produce the same amount in 13 shifts. This has allowed the operators to handle other tasks instead of waiting for the individual items to be completed.
