INTRODUCTION
SD35 is a brushless screwdriver system designed for use with Universal Robots for safe, user-friendly and consistent screw assembly for screws requiring up to 3.5
Nm tightening torque. SD35 has several built-in features that enhance the robot’s integration and support collaboration environments.
SD35 is made for pick & place screwdriver applications. This means that screws are retrieved from an automatic screw feeder located within range of the robot and
screwed at programmed insertion points.
SECURITY
The safety shield covers the bit and the screw during movement, thereby protecting operators from rotating and sharp elements. If the tool unexpectedly runs into an object, the safety sensor stops the robot immediately. The built-in safety sensor is performance level-d, which makes safe implementation easy.
TAKE ROUTE PROGRAMMING
The included “teach pen” helps the user configure the exact location of the screw insert. When the free-drive button is pressed, the tool can be moved to the next
position. Use the configurable button to save waypoints, start the screwdriver and more.
AUTOMATIC BIT SHIFT (Option)
If you use different types and sizes of screws on the same workstation, we recommend automatic bit changer that can autonomously switch between different screw bits, and thus between several screw feeders.
