The combination of changing needs for solving manual production tasks and product series with low numbers is a challenge for many companies. That’s why the development of hyperflexible robots – automation solutions that can be easily and quickly moved and adapted to diverse tasks – are so important for job maintenance and competitive market prices.
In this case, Technicon, together with a number of partners, has developed a robot cell – a flexibly built-in modular table system for assembling / pressing handwheels, packing thermostats in blister shells and packing in boxes. The various components involved in the process are mixed in the vibration feeder, which has vision detection (visual recognition) for pick´n place.
This calculator shows the potentially dramatic impact in savings on a robot versus manual labor over the life of the project.
