Collaboration with SKOV A/S

In order to strengthen its global competitiveness, the Danish manufacturing company SKOV A / S would, among other things, reduce operator and wasted time in production.

SKOV wanted a solution that easily streamlined the handling of both high-volume printed circuit boards and low-number printed circuit boards – of course without compromising operational stability or safety.

Therefore, in 2018, SKOV decided to invest in another flexible plug & play automation solution from Technicon.

Technicon delivered a modular plug & play solution, composed of selected standard products from their range:

  • A modular table with a collaborative UR5 robot.
  • Festo grippers with precision and signal control as well as optimal user interface.
  • Built-in UR-Cap and QR code scanning of production paper, test fixture and each individual circuit board.
  • The entire set-up was “line” CE marked, together with SKOV’s own test equipment and a print handling equipment purchased from SKOV.



With Technicon’s plug & play solution, SKOV was able to handle varying printed circuit boards much faster and more efficiently. The clear productivity advantages mean that SKOV has gone from 0 to 90% automation of the print handling in the module test process.
