TUB Feeder

TUB Feeder is a compact, fully automated robot solution enabling stable in- and outfeeding of tubs. The built-in vision system and custom-developed vacuum grippers smoothly handle tubs of varying sizes.

Within the Life Science industry, the daily unpacking and packing of tubs is a repetitive and time-consuming task.

Varying tub sizes are going to be unpacked from akylux boxes stacked on pallets. Frequently, the akylux boxes are stacked differently.

Manual depalletizing, opening boxes, and unpacking tubs is costly, repetitive, and risk causing production bottlenecks

SOLUTION OVERVIEW

TUB Feeder is a scalable robot solution that automatically manages the entire tub in- and outfeeding process: depalletizing, opening boxes, gentle removal of tubs, lid application, packing tubs into Akylux boxes, and palletizing.

  • The modular design can be customized to specific needs. Depending on requirements, 3-6 reliable robots, a box-opening module, specially developed vacuum grippers, advanced vision system, and built-in gantry are included.

  • The vision system efficiently handles depalletizing irregularly placed and skewed boxes. A precise mechanical solution ensures the robot applies lids to filled tubs during the process.

It can be configured to pack filled tubs onto pallets or direct them to inspection lines. TUB Feeder can handle 6 tubs per minute.
