Solid Dose Mixing is an innovative multitool robot system. The solution efficiently eliminates heavy, repetitive air-related manual handling of freeze-dried powder.

Manual handling of freeze-dried powder is costly and burdens the working environment. The freeze-dried powder must be repeatedly finely ground, transferred to tanks, and finally filled into containers.

The frequent heavy lifting of trays containing freeze-dried powder increases strain and risk of arthritis. Additionally, manual handling poses human error and contamination risks.

SOLUTION OVERVIEW

  • Solid Dose Mixing consists of a ceiling-mounted, cleanroom class C Fanuc 710 (M710 IC-50) robot with an integrated sensor.

  • The Fanuc robot is equipped with a tool changer setup, allowing it to seamlessly switch between a multitude of specially designed, fine-mechanical tools.
